Home side hold on to win Dales derby clash

THE brave spectators who battled through the tail-end of Storm Arwen to Corbridge were warmed up by Tynedale’s victory over Wharfedale in a full-blooded Dales derby.
The game was in doubt until shortly before kickoff as the storm had left the Tynedale ground without electricity.
However, when power was restored, it was Tynedale who had the edge with a controlled performance.
Despite losing three players to injury in the first half an hour, Tynedale turned around with a 17-3 lead.
