Non-stop season likely to take toll

TIME and the ever-evolving rugby seasons wait for no one. The final round of the 2026 Six Nations had still to be played when France’s Ligue Nationale de Rugby unveiled the shape, if not for obvious reasons the precise content, of the 2026/27 domestic, European and international seasons.
Including the Supersevens competition, which starts with two weekends in pre-season before a final in February, there will be meaningful professional men’s rugby of one sort or another in France every weekend between August 22, 2026, and June 26, 2027.
