George’s knowhow puts Sarries on verge of last eight

SARACENS put down their European Cup marker with an impressive display in difficult conditions with a late try by Jamie George rounding off a win that virtually guarantees them a place in the last eight.
The England hooker’s try, from a splintered line-out drive, put Saracens top of the pool with 18 points and two games left to play. It was typical of Cardiff’s tenacity that Olly Robinson succeeded in latching onto the ball, but the TMO ruled that George had still managed to make glancing contact with the artificial grass surface.
