DESPITE some ‘hairy moments’ Exeter boss Rob Baxter was proud of his team’s effort.
“It wasn’t a vintage performance and there were mistakes – balls on the floor, penalties – but I give great credit to the guys for bringing it together after all that’s happened in the last two weeks against good quality opposition.
“They turned up, got on with it and have driven themselves through to get the result. There were some hairy moments but they were created by lack of time together in training.
