Ironmen down Quins to get back on track

MERTHYR halted a threegame losing streak by beating Carmarthen Quins.
Steff Marshall kicked an early penalty for the Quins, but the Ironmen began to exert pressure. Three consecutive penalties allowed the hosts to kick to the corner and drive.
The second drive saw Carmarthen flanker Ed Siggery sent to the sin-bin, with the following kick and drive seeing Merthyr cross the whitewash through Rhys Williams.
Marshall kicked a second penalty just before the half hour mark for the visitors before Tom James and Ben Murphy were sent to the bin for Merthyr.
