Quins and Worcester. “But most siddes are going to struggle down here to cope with that pack and we got beat at the breakdown.
“We weren't as clinical as Exeter – we were a bit slack with ball in hand. We probably deserved something from the game but we got nothing.”
Diamond took some positives as he added: “Our attitude was right, we didn't take any injuries – and there's a bit of cavalry on the horizon.”
He is confident that the addition to his side of suspended England wing Chris Ashton, scrumhalf
Faf de Klerk, on international duty with South Africa, and injured new signing Rohan Janse van Rensburg will make a difference.
He added: “When I get the squad together I think we can be challenging for a top-six place.”
