GAEL Drean’s 71st minute try won the match for Toulon against a plucky Zebre side.
The visitors made a strong start and after consecutive penalties by the Italians, Toulon were rewarded with a penalty try.
Zebre hit back through Italian international Luca Bigi’s close range score after sustained pressure from the pack.
Italy legend and Toulon captain Sergio Parisse put the French side back ahead with a try on the stroke of half time.
Drean then scored Toulon’s third try as he finished a beautiful backline move in the corner.
