Lancashire got off to a winning start on the road at Upper Park, Birkenhead as they ran in eight tries to Cheshire’s three.
Despite a spirited second half display, Cheshire were unable to break the Lancashire defensive back line and, as frustration set in, both side saw a spate of cards, with Cheshire down to 11 men just after the half time break.
