SOMERSET needed one point from this game to ensure their place at Twickenham on Finals Day to contest the Division 2 Play-Off, and by the 11th minute they had secured their bonus point with a fourth converted try.
Eastern Counties were blown away early on with tries by skipper Brett Harvey, Dave Farmer, (two) and Henry Harper, Mitch Spencer and Rob Cano. Six were converted by the immaculate Ash Groves.
Eastern Counties responded through a converted try by Margetts with Button adding the extras.
