ESSEX produced a fine display as they powered past Notts, Lincs & Derbys 37-8 in Mansfield.
Scoring five tries in all, they dominated from the start, leading 24-3 by halftime before adding the bonus point in the second half.
Essex made a flying start with early tries from Tom Simpson and then Brad Burr, and they had try number three right on the stroke of half-time from No.8 Paul Bradley, although the home side did at least get on the board with a penalty.
