HERTFORDSHIRE survived nearly an hour playing with 14 men to open their campaign with victory over Kent.
For the most part the visitors were firmly in command, barring an at times scruffy lineout and a few untimely knockons. Had they not lost scrum-half Stefan Liebenberg to a red card for punching on 16 minutes, the game would have been put firmly out of Kent’s sights well before their final rally.
