Durham, Hants go on ruthless rampage

DURHAM and Hampshire each racked up 62 points as they began their Bill Beaumont Cup campaigns in fine style.
The North-East triumphed over the North- West as Durham romped past Cumbria 62-5 in Pool 2 while Leicestershire beat Staffordshire 45-7 in the group’s other fixture.
And it was a similar story of big wins in Pool 2 as Hampshire beat North Midlands 62-13, with Somerset beating Warwickshire 43-14 in the group’s remaining fixture.
