Pooley’s paddlers rise to the challenge

Crowborough rugby veteran Nigel Pooley has completed an extraordinary journey of paddling 68 miles along Scotland’s Great Glen Canoe Trail.
Pooley and his team of 11 ex-rugby players travelled from Fort William on the west coast to Inverness in the east to raise funds for Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby.
The adventure in two-man Canadian canoes, which is usually completed in five days, was accomplished by Pooley and his team in only three and a half days.
