THE grim weather at Corbridge was matched by the poor fare served up by Tynedale and Harrogate in a low-scoring encounter.
Tynedale dominated, winning all their lineouts and shoving the visitors off their own ball at set scrums, but they lacked a cutting edge. Harrogate defended well, but Tynedale let them off the hook with a series of careless mistakes.
Harrogate began well and a good handling move from a lineout saw left wing Will Yates touch down in the corner after five minutes.
