HARPENDEN picked up their first win of the season with a 29-18 victory over fellow strugglers Sidcup, a result that lifted them away from the foot of the table.
An unconverted try from No.8 Michael Goode gave the home side a perfect start, before hooker Alex Osborn took centre-stage with a hat-trick of tries all of which were converted by full-back Cameron Raubenheimer.
Leading 26-12 at the break, Harps managed just a solitary Raubenheimer penalty in the second half, but that was enough to secure a five-point win.
