Faingaa makes the ultimate donation

THERE was a time when a news story regarding a rugby player donating his brain, on the occasion of his death, for medical research would have provoked a modest titter, but thankfully those times have changed.
In a week in which World Rugby announced a considerable reduction in the number of concussions at RWC2019 – after their strict reffing of the high tackle laws – former Australia centre Anthony Faingaa, above, has bequeathed his brain to the medical authorities to aid the further research into concussion.
