LLANELLI ended a run of six successive defeats to Llandovery with a vital victory that hauled them away from the drop zone.
Their last win over the Drovers had been in January 2017, and they had to dig deep to get back to winning ways. Having raced into a 17-point lead, Llanelli trailed 21-17 with five minutes to go.
By the time prop Berian Watkins drove over for a try to give the Drovers the lead for the first time they were down to 14 men –lock Rhys Jones sent off in the 50th minute for throwing a punch.
