Granny does it for Saxons duo

FOUR years ago, Nick Tompkins helped England’s reserve XV, the Saxons, beat South Africa A on successive weekends. Now that the Saracens centre has sworn allegiance to Wales on the strength of a granny from Wrexham, he will be the second member of that Saxons team to find the grass greener elsewhere.
Mike Haley made the switch from Sale to Munster once the Irish recruiting agents had discovered that he, too, had an Irish grandmother, in his case from Co. Kerry. Ireland capped him at full back during a pre-World Cup friendly against Italy last summer.
