Bainton double inspires Bridge in One East

NEWBRIDGE moved six points clear in One East with a 29-12 win at Risca.
Tom Bainton dotted down twice with Mike Kavanagh, Jakob Duffy and Mike Preece also on the scoresheet in another fivestar display from the visitors. Eamonn Rees added two conversions.
Joe Carling and Miles Anderson scored the Risca tries.
Reigning champions Brecon, though, were not in action yesterday and now have two games in hand on Newbridge with both sides still unbeaten.
Meanwhile Brynmawr, in third, have three games in hand on Newbridge and are 14 points back after they won...
