Brilliant Bevan inspires Athletic to go top

Welsh Division One round-up

BRIDGEND Athletic went top of Division 1 West Central with a six-try home win against Brynamman.
Luke Bevan hit 19 points in the 39-18 victory as he scored two tries, kicked three conversions and a penalty. Other tries came from Sam Richards, Ben Cording, skipper Ben Howe and Matt Norman.
Bridgend’s win took them one point clear of Bonymaen, who won 23-8 at Kenfig Hill. Dan Brooks and Sam Jones scored their tries, while Paul Cunliffe converted them both and added three penalties.
