CARDIFF made it four wins from four with this bonus-point win. It was Carmarthen, however, who struck first, with Aron Hemmings cutting in from a blindside foray to dart over for a try which Jac Wilson converted. Cardiff responded with replacement flanker Alex Everett powering over for two close-range tries, converted by Ben Thomas.
Two Jac Wilson penalties trimmed the interval deficit to just one point at 14-13 but Cardiff resumed by applying intense pressure and, though again guilty of conceding turnovers, generated a fast forward maul.
