BOTH sides put in a creditable performance but it was Pirates who took the spoils in this Cornish derby.
Pirates played down the slope first half and it was a credit to the Redruth defence that it took the visitors 23 minutes to trouble the scoreboard.
Javier Rojas Alvarez crossed for the first try, which he converted himself, but he couldn’t better Rory Parrata’s effort moments later.
