CERI Sweeney fought back the tears as he signed off in style at Sardis Road, converting six of Pontypridd’s seven tries to bring down the curtain on an amazing career.
The 39-year-old former Wales, Dragons, Blues and Exeter Chiefs outside half took his season’s points tally through the 200 barrier as the home side completed their campaign with a thumping victory over the champions.
