ABERAVON moved back into the top six in the Premiership thanks to the ever-reliable boot of skipper and outside half James Garland.
His three penalties were just enough to earn his side a slender victory in what turned out to be a dogfight in the wind and rain at Carmarthen Park. His winning strike came on the hour and turned the final quarter in a nervy affair for both teams.
Once again the Wizards had to play under pressure after losing Sam Williams to a yellow card for a late tackle on the stroke of halftime....
