TWO of the top three, Bridgnorth and Scunthorpe played out a thrilling 21-21 draw, but Newport Salop couldn’t take advantage as they were beaten at Derby.
Scunthorpe begun the day a point clear of Newport, with Bridgnorthtwo points further back, but the leaders had to come from behind to get a share of the spoils.
Early tries from Afeafe Haisila-Lokotui and Llew Williams saw Bridgnorth go 12-0 ahead, before three penalties pulled Scunthorpe back within touch, a try then edging them ahead.
