RGC signed off in style with a thrilling victory over Newport, with Iolo Evans crossing for a try at the death.

The visitors went ahead courtesy of two penalties from Matt O'Brien. But RGC Danny Cross touched down after 20 minutes, Jacob Botica despatched the conversion.

Elliot Frewen crossed the whitewash for the visitors on 46 minutes that was converted by O'Brien, but once again the Gogs responded well with Loots notching his second.

The visitors hit back when Owen Davies crashed over on 70 minutes, with O'Brien successful with the conversion attempt, and the fly-half stroked over a penalty on 78 minutes to put them ahead.

But Mark Jones' side restored their narrow lead when Botica fired over on 80 minutes, and they secured their win through Evans crossed.
