Just look at the players who have departed in recent seasons. Off the top of my head, I give you Louis Lynagh, Joe Marchant, Andre Esterhuizen, Will Collier, Will Joseph, Irne Herbst, Wilco Louw, Dino Lamb, Tommaso Allan, Huw Jones, Hugh Tizard and the promising Nathan Jibulu.
And those who have retired. Joe Marler (mid-season, apparently without warning), Danny Care, Matt Symons and Joe Gray.
And those who have encountered serious injury problems – Tyrone Green, Stephan Lewie...
