HARLEQUINS prop Zara Green is accustomed to putting in long shifts – with the youngster balancing life in the PWR with more than 900 hours of clinical placement as part of her midwifery degree.
Green, 20, is entering the final year of her studies at the University of Surrey while attempting to establish herself in Quins’ senior front row and continuing her progress through the England pathway. It has resulted in a relentless schedule involving university, professional rugby and clinical placements which can stretch to 50-hour weeks.
