NEWCASTLE finally have a squad that could make the Prem competitive from top to bottom. It will likely take them some time to hit full stride given there are 25 new faces at Kingston Park, but their Prem Cup win over Leicester last week showed their direction of travel.
Red Bull’s takeover can only be a good thing for the Prem. For too long Newcastle have been the league’s whipping boys and save for the odd shock result, they were usually looked at as an easy five points. Not any more I feel.
