Lions musn’t be pussycats

SHOULD the Lions play Italy before heading off to New Zealand in 2029? I don’t see any reason why not. But should they play them in Dublin or a Home Union venue? Absolutely not.
The Lions are a touring side, that’s their raison d’etre and every home Lions game I have attended has been an underwhelming non event.
If the Lions are going to play these games, do them in style. Get over to Italy for a week, in fact why not base the entire pre tour camp there in sunny climes. Fly the flag, make some noise, a few coaching clinics for local kids, a night at some local taverna, visit the Pope, run up M...
