Henry Slade feared he had played his last England game eight months ago – now he is eyeing the next Rugby World Cup after being dropped for the last one.
The Exeter Chiefs midfielder arrived in England camp ahead of the Nations Championship as the form centre in the Prem yet he had not won a cap since November 2025.
He started for England against Argentina in their final autumn Test at Twickenham back then but could feel the way the wind was blowing and didn’t like it.
