Farrell’s plans are disrupted by injury

IRELAND

IRELAND head coach Andy Farrell’s plans have been rocked by injury ahead of their summer Tests against Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.
Originally named squad captain, No.8 Caelan Doris and winger Tommy O’Brien have been ruled out after sustaining injuries during the URC final. Hooker Dan Sheehan will lead the team.
It was a further blow to Farrell who was already without Jack Crowley, Andrew Porter, Mack Hansen, Calvin Nash and Ryan Baird – with James Lowe also omitted following his decision to leave Leinster for Japan.
