Ponty’s fightback stuns Merthyr

PONTYPRIDD pulled off a remarkable comeback to beat Merthyr 41-26 from 21-7 down at half-time at Sardis Road to keep their title hopes alive.
Defeat in their penultimate match yesterday would have put the title of reach for Ponty and, although defending champions Merthyr are still firm favourites to retain the title with a game in hand, the result means it isn’t over yet.
