40 years later, and the ladies party on

WE seem awash with anniversaries but one notable landmark we should particularly note is the 40th anniversary today – April 19 – of the first official women’s international in the UK when Great Britain lost 14-8 to France at Richmond which had already established itself as a stronghold for the women’s game.
