Robinson heroics prove to be in vain

WILLIAM Robinson’s hat-trick for Scunthorpe proved in vain as Wharfedale’s wonderful first half was enough for them to hang on to a frantic victory.
The slowest of slow starts proved costly for Scunthorpe.
Iddy Morgan got in for Wharfedale within two minutes before, five minutes later, Oliver Cicognini strolled across for the second. Morgan swiftly doubled up himself and with Archie Haddon’s kicking boots on, Wharfedale had established an early 21-point lead.
