REPLACEMENT prop Boan Venter’s late try, converted by Cammy Scott, sealed a thrilling victory for Edinburgh.
After conceding the lead late on, the hosts showed composure to set up Venter to crash over with Scott’s impact off the bench proving decisive.
The hosts made a fast start. After sustained pressure following Ross Thompson’s kick to the corner, debutant Hector Patterson combined with Connor Boyle who crossed for the opener. Thompson added the extras.
