We need to select a ball-carrying 12

THERE has been a lot of criticism of Borthwick’s selections lately, however I want to comment on the backs. I might be an old fashioned centre but why do England persist on a 12 who just distributes the ball, even if he can tackle, he’s not the 10. Surely out there in the largest pool of talent is a ball-carrying 12 to suck in defenders, get the back row running off him and even put away his pacy 13 every now and then. Why are we using the 13 to crash the ball? And then a pacy 15 coming into the line outside the 13 that gives us options apart from 13 to the wing.
