CLIFTON produced eight tries in a breathless encounter, to secure a crucial five-point victory over Leicester Lions.
The hosts struck early when Ollie Stirling finished sharply, on the wing, with James McKinney converting.
Although James Stubbs responded for the visitors, under the posts, Jay Evans marked his 50th cap with a composed finish. Shortly after, Stirling added his second in a delightful break that split the Lions’ line.
