We just can’t stick with the status quo

WHEN the franchise system for England’s pro clubs is introduced, it will formally reinforce the existing practical gulf between the small number of clubs that can sustain the salary costs involved in competing at the highest level and the rest.
This is considered by some in the game to be a bad thing, but I disagree.
