RUNAWAY Super Rygbi Cymru leaders Ebbw Vale crashed to only their second defeat of the season, 37-19 at Cardiff.
First-half tries from Alun Rees, Evan Rees and Elijah Evans were followed up by scores from Dewi Cross, Joe Goodchild and Gwilym Bradley as the Steelmen were hit for six.
Morgan Richards, Sion Parry and Dylan Edwards replied for Ebbw, but this defeat ended their eight-game winning streak.They retain a 20-point cushion over nearest challengers Llandovery and Cardiff in the table, with four regular rounds left.
