Ideal role models

I WAS delighted with Peter Jackson’s recent paragraph (TRP January 4) about the opening of the Women’s World Cup in Sunderland. We now have 47,000 on a regular basis for the football but the rugby day was truly memorable. The atmosphere was electric. There were crowds of young girls (including two of my granddaughters and six great nieces) and they now have really good role models to follow rather than Tik Tok influencers!
