FREEZING conditions produced a treacherous surface and a slippery ball, but Tynedale somehow managed to hang on for an unlikely victory, despite being under the cosh for much of the game. The Tigers dominated territory and possession, with some good lines run by Will Baker, Ben Manderfield and Barney Goatley, but their efforts foundered on the solid rock of the Tynedale defence, where Joe Hanning, star man Oscar Caudle and Will Miller stood out.
