Resurgent Dragons take down Red Bulls

NEWCASTLE’S impressive performances in Challenge Cup came to an abrupt halt as resurgent Dragons virtually booked qualification for the last-16 with a convincing victory.
Dragons knew they would qualify for the knockout stages for the first time since 2023 as long as Perpignan and Lions did not play out a four-try draw in France yesterday.
After 46 minutes, Newcastle were fortunate to be 12-7 ahead but following the first of three yellow cards, they crumbled miserably in the face of Dragons’ onslaught.
