RFU should say how long it plans to keep ring fence in place

THE RFU should be asked how long it sees its ‘Prem’ ring fence lasting. If it is for an indefinite period, owners at ambitious clubs like Coventry and Cornish Pirates, and the rest of us, need to be told.
Ealing will feel the hardest done by if the RFU fails to scrap ring fencing. Having already been cheated out of promotion once, they now lead the Championship by 10 points after just 11 games, and with a positive points difference already of over 300.
