Umaga makes all the difference with boot

BENETTON edged a tight Italian derby to maintain their early season momentum.
The hosts made the brighter start and were rewarded when Ignacio Mendy finished well with former Wasps playmaker Jacob Umaga adding the conversion. Umaga’s boot proved crucial, the fly-half landing three penalties either side of half-time to keep Benetton in control despite Zebre’s persistence. Zebre struck back shortly after the restart when Giacomo Ferrari crossed from close range.
