Alex Sanderson has called on World Rugby to allow teams to exploit their dominance in the scrum amid calls for change after South Africa’s power up front led to two Ireland props being sin-binned in Dublin.

The Six Nations are expected to recommend at a World Rugby conference in February that props should not receive a yellow card if they are overpowered, rather than commit technical offences.
One of the arguments is that it amounts to double jeopardy, a penalty conceded followed by 10 minutes in the sin-bin, but maul collapses near a team’s line often lead to a penalty try and a yellow car...
