England’s tendency to operate with a 6:2 bench split has led to head coach Steve Borthwick talking of ‘hybrid players’ such as Henry Pollock, who he feels can operate in both the forwards and backs.
Full-back Redshaw, 20, who starred alongside Pollock during their successful time in England U20s, knows competition can come from all areas.
