Beechen Cliff boys are too good for Hartpury

IN the first round of the ACE League second round, Beechen Cliff handed a first loss of the season to Southern top seeds Hartpury 15-5 on derby day.
Two unanswered tries secured four points as both sides slotted into the mid-table shuffle, Beechen unable to add a bonus. Northern leaders Gosforth beat Oaklands 26-14 to jump top after match-day one while Gordon’s took second, defeating Loughborough 31-20.
