We were sluggish, admits Mapletoft

ENGLAND A coach Mark Mapletoft believed his side didn’t capitalise on their aerial superiority.
He said: “With the players we had in the back three, we knew the aerial battle would be a massive part of our game. We did have a lot of joy in that area but were too sluggish by not striking with pace when the ball then came back our way.
“There was a certain amount of disruption in midweek as Joe Batley was away for the birth of his second child and we only had a limited time together but it is still an amazing experience for a number of players.”
