Let ref put the ball in

JUST to add my thoughts to the ongoing debate around the scrum and especially the problems with “crooked feed”.
In order to return the scrum to a true battle, how about changing it so that the referee puts the ball in? This would ensure an honest contest for possession as no one side would have the advantage, would return the scrum to how it used to be and add another element of excitement to the game. As it stands, the scrum is increasingly becoming a waste of time.
